Hi All, With the influx of new players for BotWar 3 I thought I would take a minute to explain the product categories for Traders Galaxy’s webstore.
BotWar and BotWar 2 Turbo labelled products are all current products for BotWar 3. The stat cards that you get in the starter boxes should for the most part all reflect these designs.
BotWar Classic and Retro Robots labelled products are all classic BotWar designs that have been upgraded with a new design. I have added the prior names of these characters so people can easily find the current rules should they wish to proxy these models for current designs. In some rare cases the old designs dont match up. In which case the model was probably discontinued or had a major change. The Traders Galaxy Collectors Guide is an excellent resource to understand all this.
Broken Skies is a different game but it uses the same miniatures from BotWar.
BotWar humans are 9mm tall. Broken Skies humans are about 6mm tall.
——
80s Pulp product lines incorporate both ROTD (Rise of the Democracy) and Beat Em Up miniature lines. All 30mm Traders Galaxy miniatures are the same scale. The 80s Pulp range is also set in the BotWar universe and the range and games offer a different perspective on the conflict. For these games the focus is on the human conflicts within the BotWar universe and the Bots only have a minor role.
A typical height of a basic human in the 80s Pulp range is 33mm.
——
The Fantasy ranges are only new and are the same scale as our 80s Pulp range at 33mm typically. They fit well with most Fantasy miniature games available. There are no plans for a Traders Galaxy fantasy game as yet but there are some major releases planned for this miniature line.
——-
The WW2 and Sci Fi ranges are our least supported ranges at present and there are no immediate plans to rapidly expand these ranges. The WW2 miniatures fit perfectly into the 80s Pulp range as well and there are some crossovers planned with the Pulp ranges.
——
I hope this helps your understanding of the Traders Galaxy product categories.
