The Traders Galaxy 30mm Miniature Games Rules System

I can’t recall a time in Traders Galaxy’s history in which so many exciting things are happening at once. Bot War is experiencing some exciting growth and there is a lot of cool new stuff coming out for that game over the next 12 months.

But in this blog post I would like to talk about the future of ROTD, which looks very very bright.

For years I have dabbled in the 30mm scale miniature game genre with Traders Galaxy miniatures and ROTD miniatures. I admit both have struggled to find their feet, mainly because they get about 5% of my attention compared to Bot War. But both miniature lines have some cool stuff and they really deserve more attention. So, I am currently working on a core ruleset for 30mm scale games. Well its more like the ROTD core ruleset has been finalised and this core system will be the foundation for several miniature lines to use. ROTD itself already has an impressive line up of miniatures, but joining this scale will be a new line for fans of old beat em up games. Street fighters, gang punks, and various other retro 80s styles goons and thugs will be coming up along with a supplement for the ROTD rules system! But that’s not all! Medieval fantasy battles will also get their own miniatures line in the ROTD scale as well as their own supplement for the system as well. The sky is the limit and there is already the beginnings of a sci fi range :).

Its quite exciting. Especially seeing as work on the miniature lines has already begun!
